Some wedding weekends carry a feeling that is almost impossible to put into words, an atmosphere so warm and effortless that it defines everything a celebration should be. Charlotte & Phill’s destination wedding in Valbonne was exactly that. Over three sun-soaked days in the South of France, guests were welcomed into an experience shaped by ease, laughter, and impeccable attention to detail. Every moment was deliberate, and the weekend carried a quiet, lasting magic. Thoughtful planning, authentic celebration, and connection came together to define what a destination wedding can be.
Though Charlotte has spent her career creating exceptional events (Being the Managing Director of Karen Rhodes Catering), entrusting her own wedding to a wedding planner allowed her to step back fully. Each detail was expertly managed, and the weekend unfolded with clarity and considered design.
Her words after the wedding highlight the impact of that trust:
“I felt relaxed from start to finish, knowing everything was under control… Jess made what could have been a stressful process feel effortless and genuinely enjoyable.”

The Welcome Party: Setting the Tone at Le Patio, Valbonne
The weekend began at Le Patio in Valbonne, with a carefully curated welcome party that immediately set the tone for the celebrations to come. Guests arrived to a seamless experience where every detail was clearly communicated, allowing them to relax and engage fully with the weekend. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, with effortless service, exceptional food, and a sense of anticipation that carried through the entire evening.

Wedding Day at The Farm: Calm, Precision, and Energy
Saturday’s celebrations took place at the Farm in Provence, a venue that blends rustic charm with refined elegance. Shuttle buses transported guests from Valbonne, ensuring arrivals were smooth and punctual.
Guests were greeted with crisp, chilled welcome drinks as a string quartet played. The ceremony, conducted by one of Charlotte & Phill’s closest friends, balanced warmth with laughter. Charlotte walked down the aisle to Etta James’ At Last, performed live by the quartet, a moment that felt personal, measured, and memorable.
With Charlotte & Phill’s extensive catering experience, the standard for food and drink was uncompromising. Every course, every glass, every detail was curated to perfection. No plate or drink was ever empty, and every guest experienced the same level of thoughtful service throughout the day. The Brotherockers, from The Roving Agency, roamed the reception, bringing energy and excitement that lifted the celebration into unforgettable territory.

Thoughtful Design from Start to Finish
Charlotte & Phill’s vision was bold, vibrant, and personal. The floral arrangements were full and abundant, designed to feel natural yet make a striking impact, while custom linens added texture and cohesion to each table. Curated furnishings created purposeful, inviting spaces, and a unified colour palette tied together the stationery, tableware, and lighting. The design was seamlessly integrated with the logistics, ensuring that everything from setup to ceremony flowed effortlessly.
The final day of the wedding weekend brought a relaxed Sunday BBQ back at the Farmhouse, offering a fresh design and new live music while maintaining the same infectious energy. Guests enjoyed a casual yet carefully curated dining experience, further extending the joyous, sun-soaked celebration.

A Client’s Perspective: Why Planning Matters
Charlotte captured the essence of the experience in her review:
“Jessica planned our wedding in the South of France in September 2025, and I can say with complete confidence that she’s exceptional at what she does. I’ve worked in the events industry for over 17 years and thought I knew what it took to pull off a wedding like ours. Jessica’s attention to detail and calm, confident control was impressive and she managed every element… Nothing was ever left to chance. I felt relaxed from start to finish, knowing everything was under control and by the end of the weekend, all of our guests felt the impact Jessica made. If you’re looking for a wedding planner in the UK, the South of France, or further afield I couldn’t recommend Jessica highly enough.”
Her words highlight the value of entrusting a destination wedding planner, the assurance that every element is handled, allowing you, the couple and your guests to fully enjoy the experience.

Crafting a Destination Wedding That Feels Effortless
A destination wedding planner ensures precision, flow, and seamless execution across every aspect of a celebration. Charlotte & Phill’s Valbonne wedding exemplified this: careful planning, intentional design, and effortless logistics combined to create a weekend where guests could fully engage with the experience.
The result was a vibrant, immersive celebration, defined not by stress or complication, but by presence, attention, and thoughtfulness. A destination wedding done at its finest: memorable, considered, and unforgettable.
