Lauren & Kit: Intimate yet abundant, Yorkshire Dales wedding

Intentionally intimate wedding weekend, Yorebridge House, Yorkshire Dales

“Lauren and Kit travelled from the USA to the Yorkshire Dales for an intentionally intimate wedding weekend with just 27 of their closest family and friends. With so many guests travelling thousands of miles to celebrate with them, the focus was on creating a weekend that felt personal, welcoming and unmistakably Yorkshire. From local welcome gifts in each guest bedroom to a relaxed dinner the evening before, every detail was designed to make guests feel immediately at home.

The wedding itself was understated but highly considered, balancing timeless elegance with a little whimsy. Soft, layered florals, carefully considered tablescapes and intimate booth seating created spaces designed around conversation and connection, while seasonal Yorkshire produce brought a strong sense of place to the dining experience. One of my favourite aspects of the weekend was the emphasis on hospitality. Nothing felt excessive or overdone; instead, the focus was on doing everything well and creating an atmosphere where guests could properly enjoy being together.

It was a beautiful example of how an intimate wedding can still feel incredibly luxurious, while offering the opportunity to make every single guest feel genuinely considered.”

Kind Words from Lauren & Kit

“As my husband and I look back on our wedding, one thing has become very clear: hiring Jess was the best decision we made! I cannot imagine the weekend (or the entire planning process) without her. I truly can’t recommend Jess highly enough.

Wedding planning was a very daunting chore for me at first (especially because we were planning a wedding in Yorkshire while living in the United States), but after hiring Jess, I looked forward to making decisions, hearing her ideas, and seeing the details come together. Jess was always one step ahead in anticipating our needs, and she thought about details that would have never crossed my mind. Her knowledge, organization, and communication gave us so much peace of mind. Jess also sourced all of our vendors and communicated with them throughout the planning process, which saved me so much time and stress.

The entire wedding weekend, Jess was a very calm presence. I was not aware of anything that went wrong, and I know she is to thank for that. Jess brought my vision to life, and everything was exactly how I imagined it would be. She did an especially good job planning the layout of our venue, organizing furniture to fit the space, and designing the tablescapes. The florals, stationary, and hire items all went together so well and created such a beautiful space. She did an amazing job with both logistical/organizational and creative/visual planning.

Overall, I feel like the best part of the wedding was the atmosphere. Jess really understood what we wanted the day to feel like, and I am so impressed with how she made that feeling come to life. Every detail felt intentional, and her being there allowed us to be fully present in the moment with our guests.

We feel incredibly lucky that Jess was part of our wedding and truly can’t recommend her highly enough. If you’re deciding whether to hire a wedding planner, my advice isn’t simply to hire a planner, it’s to hire Jess! She is an incredible listener who took the time to truly understand what we wanted our wedding to feel like and translated that into every detail of the weekend. Her creativity, organization, and attention to detail are truly exceptional. I would choose Jess again in a heartbeat!”
