Cheshire Wedding Planner
As a Cheshire wedding planner, I’ve been lucky enough to work at some of the most breathtaking venues in the region, but Capesthorne Hall holds a special kind of magic. Nestled in the Cheshire countryside, this historic estate is surrounded by tranquil lakes, manicured gardens, and elegant architecture, offering the perfect blend of grandeur and warmth.
For Sophie and Dimitri, who live in Berlin, Capesthorne Hall was the dream setting for a timeless and joy-filled wedding weekend. Planning a destination wedding from abroad can feel overwhelming, but with me as their wedding planner, they were able to focus purely on the big decisions while I handled the details, from site visits and supplier meetings to scheduling and overall design.

The Weekend Experience
This wedding was more than a single day; it was a full weekend celebration designed to bring guests together from the moment they arrived.
Friday Welcome Party
The festivities began on Friday evening in the Queen Anne Room, a welcoming and intimate space where guests mingled, listened to informal speeches, and settled into the celebratory mood. In honour of Dimitri’s Greek heritage, the evening’s menu featured a generous mezze spread — including hummus, tzatziki, spanakopita, grilled halloumi, falafel, Greek salad, roasted Mediterranean vegetables, chicken skewers, warm bread, and sweet, flaky baklava for dessert. This relaxed, family-style dining created the perfect atmosphere for conversation and connection.

The Wedding Day at Capesthorne Hall
On Saturday morning, the bridal preparations were full of excitement and laughter as Sophie and her six bridesmaids got ready for the day ahead. The couple’s civil ceremony took place in the elegant Drawing Room, surrounded by family and friends.
After the vows, guests enjoyed drinks and canapés before moving into the dining room for a three-course meal. The table plan was carefully designed to encourage conversation, and the soft glow of candles added to the cosy yet luxurious atmosphere.
As the evening approached, Sophie changed into a shorter party version of her wedding dress, ready to hit the dance floor and celebrate late into the night. The energy was high, the music was flowing, and the joy was unforgettable.
