The coolest f*****g bar my guests have ever seen… this was the brief I was given when tasked with when party planning for the wonderful Sally & James. Being the owners of one of my favourite ever venues (Heathy Lea) I knew this party had to be amazing. With a bunch of truly incredible suppliers, we created the atmosphere for Sally, James and their guests to bring the party! Sally & James had celebrated in Portugal the week prior with an intimate crowd, but this party was planned to ensure everyone had a good time!
Heathy Lea is an exclusive-use wedding venue, located within the Chatsworth estate just a stone’s throw away from Baslow. The estate offers two great locations to situate your marquee and the views are absolutely incredible. It’s not uncommon to see deer and rabbits roaming about the grounds! With my lovely couple being the proprietors, of course, this was the ‘one’ in terms of venue selection!
As Sally and James had married in Portugal the week prior, this celebration was all about keeping the atmosphere fun and welcoming whilst also bringing some showstopping qualities. I worked closely with the wonderful Tracey from Campbell’s Floristry to convey the impact and fun elements of the design. We designed the marquee from the lovely Green Farm Marquues around our showstopping bar. The team at Fresh Event Hire were a pleasure to work with and they also provided all of the additional furniture.
Upon guest arrival to Heathy Lea, guests were treated to fizz, beer, canape cups & smoked salmon and crayfish crostinis. The wonderful Waking Vegas entertained guests and eased them into their amazing sets which took place later on that evening. The drinks were looked after by the lovely Kathryn and her team at The Hospitality House. With a range of ages on the guest list, it was important everyone was looked after so I created a chill-out zone from Green Farm Marquees Pavillion which provided a safe haven from the party later on! The food was a taste sensation, the truly talented powerhouse of Andy at S17 and Nathan of Nathan Wall created food which tasted as good as it looked. Slow-cooked lamb on the spit, beef brisket, fresh flatbreads, tzatziki, salads and chimichurri was the chosen menu, followed by a dessert bar, cheeseboard and wood-fired pizzas later on meant that the food was a hot topic of the day.
From intimate fine dining experiences to luxuriously detailed themed parties for hundreds of guests, I create parties that bring the finesse along with the fun.
My party planning services can be tailored to both private and corporate events, and give you a comprehensive and stress-free planning experience. As my client, you’ll remain in control throughout, but you can rely on me to produce a party to remember that’s unique to you. We’ll begin with me understanding you and the party you’re dreaming of. Tell me your priorities and vision – are you looking for a foodie feast of locally sourced produce? Is unique and eclectic entertainment at the top of your party list? Do you want people to feel like they’ve stepped into another time or place when they arrive? All this and more is possible, so let your imagination go wild. Once I’ve understood exactly the kind of party you want to create, I’ll begin my work; supplier sourcing, venue finding, design creating and schedule producing.
