Hiring a Professional UK Wedding Planner in 2023 | What Does it Cost?

Originally from San Francisco, USA – Tanvi & Animish (originally from Yorkshire) wanted a wedding celebration that was no less spectacular than their San Francisco wedding ceremony and reception for their UK guests to join with their celebrations at their York wedding. Tanvi & Animish employed my UK Destination planning service which allowed us to work seamlessly across our relative time zones to create the most cohesive planning process and spectacular celebration. T&A chose to celebrate at Woodstock which is just outside York and it was the perfect choice of exclusive-use wedding venue for Tanvi, Animish and their guests.
The brief was to use lots of rich colours; burgundies, pinks, ivories and to be foliage rich. I worked with Wild Floral Couture who are based in York regarding the floral concept and overall design. Allie and her team really did nail the brief and encompassed the decadence of the rich pinks and burgundies Tanvi loved. Guests were served a delicious feast of Indian cuisine by Thali catering and it went down a storm. I designed and planned the tableware around the social serving of family style indian cuisine. This worked beautifully well and felt luxurious but practical for guest dining.
Entertainment for Tanvi & Animish’s York wedding came in many fabulous forms. The initial part of the evening encompassed family traditions of performances from close family and friends. It was an honour to watch much-rehearsed singing and dancing come to life, which meant so much to Tanvi & Animish. DJ Shai Guy truly stole the show though and kept the dance floor explosively full for the entire evening which created the most fabulous evening. Guests were also entertained by the ever-wonderful Valentina Photobooth which has the loveliest booths (completely non-tacky I might add) and as the husband and wife team are also pro photographers, the image quality is exemplary.

“My wife Tanvi and I got married in the US in summer 2021, but as so many of our family and friends are based in the UK, we also needed to plan a UK reception. Planning a reception event from another country, we quickly found out, was even more difficult than planning our wedding!
