The Lake District is arguably one of the most enthralling areas of the UK with scenery for everyone, from its famous bodies of water and dramatic mountains to the rugged coastline beyond. For many people, it also feels like home in some way, and this was especially true for Chloe who married Matt in a wedding at Silverholme Manor on the Graythwaite Estate. Their wedding was a timelessly styled celebration bringing together families from far and wide across a weekend, and I’m so excited to share it with you.
Having been brought up living across the US, Abu Dhabi and Europe growing up, Chloe felt a special connection to the Lake District as it was the home of her grandparents and one constant in her life. Matt’s family are from nearby Ormskirk, so it seemed like the perfect place to gather their globally scattered friends and family together.
Their venue of choice was the incredibly situated Silverholme Manor on the shore of Lake Windermere, with its extensive accommodation sprawling the entire estate. This allowed Chloe and Matt to bring almost all their guests together in one place, and they hired the Manor over the whole weekend. Chloe and Matt hired Silverholme Manor from Friday, beginning with a relaxed welcome party with free-flowing drinks and pizzas to set the tone and allow everybody to enjoy their surroundings. I worked with the couple to support and encourage their visions for the whole weekend, providing a sounding board throughout, taking their current plans and enhancing them to be everything they were dreaming of. Pulling the logistics together as well as finalising the design and supplier team were also important, and the end result was an understated, timelessly stylish marquee wedding with the most beautiful soft colour palette.
The whole design of the wedding was chic and minimalist, and the day reflected this in them perfectly. Many elements were personalised and handcrafted by friends and family, and these touches always delight guests when they come across them on a wedding day.

‘I don’t even know where to start but our wedding literally wouldn’t have been anything close to what it was without you and your team. Thank you for going above and beyond for us. I felt so comfortable with you from the get-go and so safe knowing you were looking after everything (and everyone!) You knew all the questions to ask but also when to have a laugh and enjoy the moment! We got the day we so hoped for but it would not have happened without you. I just wish we could do it again!’
